Shanghai Infrastructure Tour: Donghai Bridge & Yangshan Port

Since we will be crossing the 32.5km Donghai Bridge and visiting the mid-hill viewpoint, we recommend bringing a light jacket as it can be quite windy at sea. Also, don't forget your camera (drones are not allowed) or smartphone, as the rows of offshore wind turbines and the automated terminal offer incredible photo opportunities. 

The distance between the China Maritime Museum and Duoyun Bookstore is approximately 1.2 kilometers. You can choose to enjoy a leisurely 15-minute walk along the lake or use a shared bicycle for a quick 5-minute ride, allowing you to soak in the modern atmosphere of the Lingang area.

No. Yangshan Port is not open for visits on this tour. We view it from a distant viewpoint, with expert explanations of port infrastructure and logistics. Visibility depends on the weather.

No. Zhangjiang is primarily a drive-through part of the route, rather than a research-facility visit.

The experience is not tied to a particular season. Clear weather matters more: fog, rain and other adverse conditions can limit views of the bridge, offshore wind turbines and port.

The tour is designed for engineering enthusiasts and curious learners, including families. It includes extended driving and some walking. The standard group size is up to six guests.
